This track was originally recorded years back for a side project i was doing with Raheem, but we never finished it and so i chose to use it for "Piano-rama" instead. However, with all the drama that comes with dealing with major label artist- even if they are close friends, i decided to release this song for FREE as promo and its been spreading like wildfire the last couple weeks!  I would of posted it up earlier, but between mixing other soon-to-be released side projects and digging my way out of the "snow-pocalypse" that's hitting the East Coast (of the US), i been crazy busy!  If you dig Raheem's amazing vocals, then be on the lookout for his latest album, "The Love & War Masterpiece", dropping March 2nd!

BTW- speaking of "Piano-rama", check out these great reviews of my album on the homie Kevin Nottingham's site & at The Find Magazine.  Also, please feel free to let me know what you personally think too by dropping me a comment... feedback is always appreciated! K

This is a tricky album to describe. I'm never good at explaining stories, but I'll attempt to do so for one main reason. Some people tell me (mainly critics) that  we're too introspective. But I argue this because aside from two songs, the album was a total fictional tale that made fun of many western creation stories. Poorly done? Maybe. But it's not about me.

The Scenic Route is nothing more than an intro song. It was more of a call just to going back to being creative in music. Especially hip-hop. No one seems to use imagination. "Keep it real!!!" Fuck You.

Then we got into Flashback. Flashback was closely related to my own personal life. I always liked the idea of a yard without a fence. Simple, but endless possibilities. But this is more of a biographical sketch. As well as Pops Said. I know I'm very subliminal, butI say in Pop's Said "Do you belive this was left back in 79" indicating that I was just a baby when this supposedly happened. Pop died in 79. Dont belive the video :)

From here we dive into the middle of the album with a suicide story. And actually where we begin to develop a character. In epiphany, our character realizes he wasted his life. Concluding that it was a waste, he decides to kill himself in the coolest way. Sky diving. And there we have between earth & sky. And what would be your final thoughts before you touch down? I guess by showing his, I'm actually trying to ask you yours.

But before we ever get to answer the question instead of hitting the ground, he hits the water. And Bubble Begins. Look at like an afterlife womb. The bubble is transforming him into something bigger than human.  And when we land on the other side, he's immediately tested by another spirit in "Square One." That spirit was played by my cousin and good friend, 'Point Blank.' Think God and Devil.

Aha! God vs Devil. Good vs Evil. The two never win. But it plays out like life does. It's up to you. It's up to you. The punch line vs the thinker. But we follow our character to what he finds to be a perfect world, and creates Blue ice. Rebuilding the world. 1 mountain at a time. Peacefulness and all that good shit.  But there is still a need for another person, and blue ice took some weird sexy turn. It was kind of weird for me. I couldn't create a women. That would just be silly. But the thought of it kind of allowed her to walk in on her own. And in "Walk in the Park" they consummate the relationship. We bought in Thao for this. She's Sexy.

I like Aim High. If I could redo the world, I think I would erase everything, yet do it over. And thats what I do. Its just that music rules on my planet. Fuck politics. Just Art. But thats impossible, and it falls apart. Therefore we tried to create a more bluesy vibe there. I mean come on, life without struggle is not worth living. But in creating all the BS that goes on in the world, our character realizes he has killed the mother earth he was in love with. Sought of like we do everytime we turn on our cars.  And when putting her to rest, we find our Bible for the album.

"One Shine!!!" The remix is even better, but... in a world dedicated to art, we don't need bibles and Qur'an. Our character paints a picture big enough for his world to see based on what life is about. It's painted in the clouds. I always thought, if you could see the meaning of life every morning, instead of theorize it over a life time, what the fuck would you do?

We welcome everyone back to another adventure with the Panacea crew. "A Mind on a Ship Through Time!!!" Whereas The Scenic Route was based on one long story, look at this album as a series of short stories. Some connect, and some are just self contained songs. The sound is more spacey, and i think successfully takes you on our trippy outlook on things. The release is slated for October, so enjoy the ride.
