Possibly, if not THE greatest entertainer, also a huge inspiration in my musical upbringing when i was very young.  I remember dancing to Thriller when it aired on Friday Night Videos. I learned ALL the moves.

My cousin, who lived with my mother and I, played the mess out of that album too.

I began to remix the Thriller album in 2004. I started with PYT, Human Nature and Lady in my Life. I never got around to finishing it.

Before I knew it, 5 years later, I was setting up for a show with my friend Brydin in DC. Omrao, Bohemian Caverns main manager came to open the venue for me. first thing he says is "You heard Michael Jackson died right?"

I didnt even wanna believe the rumors all over Twitter until CNN confirmed it. I immediately called TFox who has to be another MASSIVE fan of MJ.  He left work immediately to catch the news at home.

an hour later after soundcheck, Brydin and I grabbed some grub and the monitor airing CNN confirmed it.

i had a LARGE lump in my throat, i hadn't felt this sad since DJ Roddy Rod called to tell me Dilla died.

Despite the rumors about Michael and little boys, vitiligo, and drug problems, I remained a HUGE fan. I mean I LOVE PRINCE too, but Michael was something special to me.

Unfortunately, i sat back and thought to myself, this would be a perfect opportunity to release the remix album. But i never got around to doing it. and now EVERYONE was gonna have one.

But i digress. Ladies and Gentlemen.

Here it is in its entirety.

Naturally Human- the Thriller remix album

enjoy!

Just got off the phone with sarah Godfrey from the Washington DC City Paper.  She wanted to talk about VA is for Lovers. Gave her a butt load of info on it.

She seemed heavily knowledgable in J Dilla, Madlib and Wes Felton. (good look).

Also talked about the upcoming ANTITHESIS album, which I believe is gonna be a good one!

Article should be out in a few weeks.

its been a long process, but i'm finally releasing a few items i've been either sitting on or working on.

The SIX EP comes from my beat tape i made a few years ago.  Now available for download, you can listen to 6 of the 46 tracks in its entirety.

VA is for Lovers took a minute to do. it was supposed to be another instrumental of slow jams. that quickly changed.  I asked a few singers i know to help me out including my favorite female singer Alison Carney who has a small cameo, but her album promises to be STELLAR!!! i wanted to make some treats that span the trials and tribulations of LOVE.  I think i captured a few moments in my life as well.

ANTITHESIS pt2 featuring me TFOX and Wes Felton is almost here.  We are continuing our cover band studio LP with songs from SADE, John Mayer and Steely Dan.  Hoepfully, we'll be seeing a few tour dates.

the last bit of music i am finishing is a mixtape featuring samples and remixes of the King of Pop's Thriller album. YES, i remixed the ultra multi platinum selling-est album of all time. Right now, i have released a single from it for your ears and will be available on the site soon.  The single is titled "Tennis Star" (figure it out before you hear it).  Be on the lookout for it!

lastly, i think ive finally found someone to push JLaine the right way. OTBmanagement group has decided to push my name out there.  You'll see new releases and collaborations with up and coming artists nationally.

Enjoy the new music!!
