Here is one of several videos to come that have inspired me to finally complete the "Black Hair Mixtape." As a child, I was bothered when I heard the phrase "you have good hair." I was also disturbed when my daughter's mother permed her hair at at a very young age without her ability to make the decision herself. I know that people have many reasons or excuses for perming their hair. Ultimately, I prefer natural beauty over synthetic inhancements. I can understand wearinf wigs and weaves for costume + entertainment purposes. Just be sure to deal with a professional so you don't damged your skin, scalp, hair etc. Like religion, hair in the black community is a very touchy subject. I just want people to be more open and "Honest" about the truth! I TRY to be supportive no matter what anyone chooses to do with their hair. To all my friends, family and community as a whole.....true love starts from within - Not with your hair. Change won't happen over night , but please be aware of what you put in and on your body.
